Our Story
Hey, there! Welcome to FITS, where the art and science of riding apparel come together to create a world of unrivaled elegance and high performance.
Our journey began in the beautiful Pacific Northwest back in 2003. At that time, riding gear just didn't quite match up to the level of technical excellence we were seeing in athletic wear. So, FITS was born out of a genuine need for better products that could keep up with the evolving standards.
The Science of Innovation
We're all about pushing boundaries and our passion for the sport fuels our drive to explore the physics of riding, experiment with innovative materials, and dive into the latest sewing techniques.
It's not just about making clothes; it's about understanding what riders truly need to excel, and then delivering on that promise – quality, comfort, and a fit like no other.
Craftsmanship by Riders for Riders
Our team of designers is made up of riders, with years of experience in crafting athletic wear. Every single FITS design is put through rigorous testing and refined over time, to consistently raise the bar for technical innovation in equestrian wear.
Behind The Brand
Meet Connie DeMaio and Allison Malenfant, the duo at the helm of Fits since 2022. With a deep passion for the equestrian lifestyle, Connie and Allison are also the minds behind Redingote Equestrian, where you will find exceptional equestrian outerwear designed to meet the modern rider’s needs.
Connie DeMaio embodies a lifelong connection with equestrianism as a dedicated rider and trainer. Rooted in her second-generation horsewoman lineage, she flourished in hunter/jumper rings. Her journey from teaching at various barns to establishing a private facility in Colts Neck, NJ, reflects her unwavering passion for the equestrian lifestyle.
Allison Malenfant is a retail merchant and product developer who spent many years in the athletic apparel industry, working with New York brands to develop their active and lifestyle clothing lines. Beginning her riding journey in 2015, Allison frequently trades the office for the trails, immersing herself in hunter paces, fox hunting, and taking lessons.
